Our last signal was a buy on the 21st June at the SP500 closing price of 1295.52. The exit signal was given on 1st July at the closing price of 1339.67, a gain of 44 points.
First is a recent example of how using a traditional indicator, in this case the stochastic oscillator can give unreliable signals, but when combined with the sentiment indicator the trading system risk is reduced and the correct entrypoint was identified.
Finally, we show how the sentiment indicator, a key element of our trading system, would have kept you out of trouble during the 1998 crash and then generated a buy signal right at the bottom!
